1. exploring the change of the Sims from the beginning to now. The game started off very basic, but now the game is very intricate and involved.
2. exploring the reason behind the game. IE why the game emphasizes on buying and giving = happiness.
3. explain the purpose for the game through the creators views. Why did he make the game? was it to show his view of the world?
Working Thesis:
The Sims emphasizes buying, giving, and selling as a source of happiness, because the game is based on real life, in grand prospective, happiness is derived from buying, selling, and giving.

Article One is a questionnaire about the creator of the Sims and how the Sims 1 and the Sims 2 are contrasted. In the Sims one the player could create a character, and buy it things to make it happy. There were no in depth details about the game; it was just very simple, new, and fun. The Sims 2 is much more in depth such as; the characters have a self-esteem and if they are mistreated the character can go insane, the game itself is more involved, there are more things to do, and more things to buy and more ways to make your Sim happy. The Sims is based on real life, and shows the player what theyre really like in a very blunt way.
Article Two is about certain qualities of the Sims Online. It goes into detail about how the player can "bookmark" an object and if it is bought, the person you bought it off of gets commission, the creator of the object gets commission and the person who bought the object has a reason to throw a party and therefore make their Sim happy. If the player buys one of each of the objects they purchased they will have enough to open a showroom and make enough money to buy their Sim whatever their heart may desire. The game itself is designed to fulfill the happiness of the players character and find whatever means possible to do so, just like in real life.
